Columbus Energy S.A. had its IPO on the main market of the Warsaw Stock Exchange on 12 April. The transfer of the listing was not accompanied by the issue of shares.
Columbus has become the sixth renewable energy company listed on the main floor of the WSE.
– The innovative company specialises in the design and implementation of large-scale projects, such as photovoltaic farms and energy storage facilities, as well as small-scale projects directed to individual consumers, for example chargers for electric cars and heat pumps for single-family homes. The Company also provides financial intermediation services – explains Monika Gorgoń, a Member of the Management Board of the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
The WSE representative recalled that the Company had been listed on the NewConnect alternative market since 2016, which allowed it to raise additional funds for growth and to establish invaluable relationships with business partners and investors.
– The transition from NewConnect to the main floor of the WSE is another milestone in the growth of our Company, which demonstrates its growing potential. It is also an important signal to current and future investors that they are dealing with a serious partner who is focused on growth, including in foreign markets, and transparency in operations – stressed Dawid Zieliński, the President of the Management Board of Columbus Energy S.A.
The President of the Management Board of Columbus Energy S.A. declared that the Company had three strategic goals after its IPO on the main floor of the WSE.
– The first goal is to continue investing in photovoltaic farms and to build energy storage facilities, while the second is to expand outside Poland. The third goal, which is the most important to stock investors, is to improve, enhance and ‘command’ better and better results – said Dawid Zieliński.
The energy transition presents huge investment challenges in the areas of economy, infrastructure, businesses and individual households, estimated at billions of euros in the coming decades. Its essential element is solar energy, used by both households and businesses. Columbus participation in this process brings the ambitious climate goals closer through its know-how and experience.
At the end of the event, the President of the Management Board of Columbus Energy S.A., along with other Members of the Company Management Board, received from Monika Gorgoń a WSE diploma and a statuette of a bull symbolising the stock market boom.
– Columbus Energy represents the renewable energy sector, which has great growth and investment potential in the context of the ongoing energy transition – convinced Monika Gorgoń.
